Automobiles in German Town Found Smeared with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Police mentioned they were notified by a individual who noticed a vehicle in Hanau marked with red-colored substance

Roughly 50 vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Vehicles, walls and postal boxes were defaced, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.

Officers state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday night, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then found numerous other marked cars and residential walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws banning the public display of Nazi symbols.

Police report early analysis suggest the liquid was probably blood from a person.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; investigators are presently not aware of any physical harm in connection with the occurrence," they stated.

City officials said they were working "to solve the mystery" and have appealed to the public for tips.

A high-ranking official commented the incident left him without words and needed to be resolved rapidly.

"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine victims by a gunman targeting people of foreign heritage in 2020.
